This Kindle offering is a good read if you care to review the most important cases the US Supreme Court has decided. As it states each case is explained well and the decisions are in enough detail, for myself, a layman and not a lawyer, to read comfortably without that urge to reread everything twice for understanding. This is a good item for a college class or a High School teacher to allow students to pick a subject to do a report on. This is worth the money and it is a good read.

If you are an attorney or just good with legalese this book stands alone in setting these majors decisions side by side. The history of the Supreme Court decisions allows us to to better understand the struggles today such as Roe v Wade and what's at stake for all of us.

All the critics are right: no dissenting opinions, but still a good read. I might be odd, but I love reading case law and so this book was right up my alley.

I bought this book after my first semester for my second bachelors in paralegal studies. Im so glad I did because it is filled with all the court cases we had talked about as well as cases my family law professor quoted from during my spring semester. It had everything in great detail and serves its purpose! I read it before my spring semester and I'm so glad I did. Very helpful!!!!

As an e-book, this is a must own. It is a compact way to carry around the most frequently cited cases that every lawyer should carry in their briefcase if they could. Now I have all 50 cases on my iPad.

In law school this was extremely helpful study aid.

A must have. Well formatted for the kindle and a really good intro to big Supreme Court decisions :)

I think that this book and the second book for Advanced are very good text books and if I were a German professor, I would use these texts in my class. It is thoughtfully written, everything is step by step and explained clearly and completely. I did not see any errors at all, unlike the Living Language books.

Does not come with any audio! It is meant to be used with 8 hrs. of instruction and practice. You can not learn a language like German without it! Don't buy this item. If this was a dictionary or verb or grammar reference then I could see not providing audio but when they are selling this as a means to LEARN the German language, absolutely NOT.I should have been more careful.

Written very well, this training book has been very helpful for me to understand the whys, how tos, and wherefores of the German language. So opposite of trying to figure out what the heck they're doing, as with the 'immersion' learning methods.

I already had a bit of knowledge of the German language before I bought this book, so I was able to spot the mistakes. I also had help from my native German friends (they had a field day with this one).

Great book for self-study and reference. Although the focus is on the grammar and there are several cultural notes that come along with each chapter as well as short exercises testing what was taught in the chapter. The book is quite compact as it is for the Beginner to Intermediate level but it is not overwhelming and is quite easy to follow along.

I wanted to learn enough German to translate Schubert Lieder and Mozart librettos. After reading the reviews here on Amazon, I bought this set, and am thoroughly glad I did. This is not a perfect product, but what you get for your $50+ is simply amazing. I sampled quite a number of similar courses at our public library, and none of them came close to covering as much material as this one did. The progression of lessons is well thought out, building the student's knowledge at a reasonable pace. (Assuming you know something about languages already, that is. If you don't, this product may present too steep a curve.)The actors reading the dialogs range from adequate to truly excellent, with most falling at the high end of the scale: clear, well-formed speech with enough dramatic skill to make the little skits easy to follow. Whoever determined the size of the chunks in the listen-and-repeat exercises sometimes misses the mark, however. There is a lesson, for instance, in which all the relations in 'ein Familienphoto' are read off in a single run. The goal is to drill the student in gender and number in noun phrases in the accusative case, but there is no time to think about that when you're trying to remember if the list included 'Vettern' or 'Schwägerinnen' or God knows what else. The point, I should like to remind the editors, is to study grammar, not develop memorization skills.That said, this is a really extraordinary product. I transferred the CDs to my iPod and listen in my car, while doing chores, etc., always with great pleasure and profit.Finally, this is not really a standalone product. (Nothing in this price range could be.) A good dictionary (I bought the Collins) and a good grammar ('Essential German Grammar' is excellent) are required if you want to develop a useful level of skill. 'Ultimate German' is a great way to get started, though.

It would be a little better if there were pictures for some things, but overall it's really good.

No doubt that it may be a great resource given ratings. My review is that the print in the first section in the book is so tiny I can't read it. I'm returning to find something that I can actually readUpdate - I was able to find The Strongest Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible - Large Print Edition. It says it is the most accurate and complete Strong's ever published (copyright 2001). The print is not what I consider large print but is of normal book size. Much more enjoyable and easy to read.

I'm a fan of two of the Lockman Foundation's greatest works, the NASB and The Amplified Bible. Until now, I'd had to use my Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, that had been created for the venerable KJV. Though not the best "fit," it did work...The Strongest NASB Exhaustive Concordance is a wonderful addition to my working library. Fast, concise, straight-up interpretations/meanings of each word. (Yes, there certainly is a difference between the NASB and the KJV... Not just hundreds of years, but the English language has changed, greatly, over that period of time...) The Strongest NASB Concordance is worth every penny, for the serious student...Do I recommend this book? YES! The Strongest NASB Concordance is a "must!" for anyone blessed to have an New American Study Bible (NASB). Five out of a possible Five Stars...

Amazing resource for studying the NASB translation of the bible. Look up a word of interest, see what other places it's used in various scriptures. Also, find it's Greek or Hebrew Strong's number, then flip to the definitions in the back, listed by Greek or Hebrew Strong's numbers to see the meaning of the word in its original language. It's a large book, but well put together and easy to use. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

This is called the "Strongest" for a reason. This was used in our class on "how to study the Bible," and this is clearly a great deal if you can buy one used!!! It is the version that goes along with the NASB "word for word" translation of the Christian Bible. Get your NASB bible and this will make a great match!

This book is a must-have for any Christian who wants to engage in serious bible study. The content itself is invaluable. However, I purchased a "new" book, but I would describe it as "like new" or perhaps a little below that. The pages are sort of wavy as if the book was stored in a humid place for a long time which caused the pages to become warped. Also, the corners of some of the pages were folded over. They were folded over in bunches, so it's possible this was due to careless handling during packaging. The book is still 100% useable, so I decided to keep it rather than exchange it. Though I was somewhat disappointed when I recieved, as when you order a new book there is an expectation that it will be in pristine condition.

This exhaustive concordance is a lighter weight than previous versions, without compromising on any of the value delivered. When used with the very literal New American Standard Bible (NASB) it enables English-speaking persons who do not know Greek to be able to study the Bible with great effectiveness. (I should add that this book is published in editions for other English translations, some of which are more literal than others; I recommended the more literal, though all have value.)When you're reading a passage of Scripture and a certain word stands out to you, you can then look that word up in the concordance and find out where the same word is used elsewhere in Scripture. Seeing the same word used in multiple and varied contexts will give you a much clearer and certain sense of its range of meaning. This will immeasurably enrich your understanding of the original passage you were reading, not to mention all the other passages you reviewed.The more important a subject is, the more often the Bible talks about it. And there is no better commentary on the Bible than the Bible itself. A concordance enables you to let one part of the Bible comment on another part. This concordance when combined with the NASB (or other literal English translation) will open the Bible's meaning to the reader perhaps more than any other single study tool that could be used.

I guess I’m a little confused. There are supposed to be 85 essays in the Federalist but this book only has 18. I don’t see a description of the book that warns of this. Am I missing something? The introduction talks about all 85 essays as if they are all in this publication. Nothing in the product discription warns that this publication only contains an abreviated list of the essays.

It should be noted this does not include ALL of the Federalist Papers. It is a selected few, which I didn't notice when I bought it. I wanted them all sor study purposes, so I got another paperback with all 86 papers for 1/2 the price at a bookstore.

Most books with the Federalist Papers that I could find only had a selection of them included. This book contains all 85 and also lists who wrote them and when they were published (if that information is available). It also has a fairly decent Table of Contents so you can easily find the paper you're looking for. The constitution is also included at the beginning which some people might find handy. Overall exactly what I was looking for. Would buy again.

In the description it says, "This book features edited highlights of the essays". This isn't the case for the hard copy edition. It doesn't even have half of the papers in this edition. Returned

This book has numerous and substantial errors. For example, one outline states that certain material would be discoverable, when the California code plain states it would "not" be. A missing "not" that makes all the difference. Another outline states that the muscle center is still an operative test for diversity in federal courts, despite the fact that this test was done away with in 2010 by the Supreme Court, and *that very question* was tested on the July 2012 California bar. Many other errors abound, and what is truly terrifying are the errors that I did not discover because I assumed what the book said was correct. I highly recommend users AVOID this book.

I love how this book is broken down into different tools for different points in studying. The comprehensive outlines have everything you need to know about a given subject, and the primer outlines are more concise and only have the really important stuff. My favorite are the issue spotter checklists. It's so helpful to have a list of topics to memorize for each subject to look for on essay questions. That way I have a list to go through in my mind and wasn't drawing a blank in the exam. I can't recommend this book enough!!

I was planning a road trip from LA thru Vegas to parts of Utah and Arizona. I have internet devices, but I like something that does not required batteries or a signal. I found this book to be very helpful. Using the internet, you really have no idea whom is writing what you are reading. I could tell the author of this book is a professional. He has a consistent honest style and tells it like it is. Using mostly this book I ended up planning my road trip from Zion to Moab(arches) to Page(antelope canyons) to Grand Canyon to Sedona and back to Vegas/LA. And while driving, I had my wife reading things from the chapters to where we were headed next to verify.My favorite feature of the book(other than the maps or course) is that he gives you recommendations on what to see depending on how much time you have. For example...if you just have a few hours, a whole day, or more. Just the way I think. He also shows the driving times between destinations. Exactly what I needed. Based on the book I did prioritize and skip some things (Bryce canyon for example) that I knew I just did not have the time to see.I used this book more for the parks information and driving, not so much for places to eat or motels. It does have some sections on New Mexico I think, but I did not go there.Excellent guide and book.

This book was invaluable for us on a 10 day road trip from Vegas-Zion-Bryce-Capitol Reef-Arches-Canyonlands-Monument Valley-Grand Canyon. Had lots of details with very good descriptions of attractions so that we could pick and choose what appealed to us. Same thing for hikes -- lots of details and "must see" advice so that we could pick and choose what appealed to us. I liked this book so much, I will look to other Moon books for travel information in the future.

It did not cover much of where we were going. Antelope Canyon area not included. I used Trip Advisor more and really didn’t find much helpful information to even use. There is more thorough and current information on the internet these days. Just be sure to download info before you go because Wi-Fi very spotty in the area.

Great resource for pre-planning a trip to some of the Southwest National parks and a great quick reference guide to take along daily. I used this book to plan a trip just 2 weeks ahead of time and this book really helped me narrow down on what to include in my itinerary.

I'm planning a trip to the south west and this book was just what I was looking for.

Great book! I bought this for my in-laws, and did some reading before I handed it over. Tim Hull's writing is clear and evocative, and I really like his choice of destinations. Highly recommended.
